Abstract
- A high-efficiency hub motor design targeting the whole speed range for electric 2-wheelers is proposed in this paper, along with the design criteria obtained from the measured driving cycle, which reduces FE calculation time while simultaneously maintaining accuracy. Introducing the vehicle dynamical approach, torque demand and power consumption can be obtained. Representative working points are extracted from the driving cycle through the Butterworth filter and clustering algorithm. The motor design applied these representative points has the potential to achieve high efficiency against whole operating conditions compared to design based on single points.
