Charge modified depth filter — Technology and its evolution

Cuno developed the charge modified cellulose depth filter in response to increasing concerns over the use of asbestos based filter media in the pharmaceutical industry. The subsequent ban on asbestos in filter media was extended to other industries due to greater understanding of the dangers posed by asbestos.
