Abstract

Using the data from 2004 to 2019, this paper constructs the panel data model to conclude that there are differences in the impacts of functional division on the economic growth of different urban agglomerations: the order of the driving forces of functional division on economic growth is: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei > Pearl River Delta > Yangtze River Delta > Guanzhong Plain > Middle Reaches of Yangtze River. The economic growth effect of the functional division of eastern urban agglomeration is more significant, which further widens the economic gap between the eastern urban agglomeration and other urban agglomerations.
