ISBE - continuous technology forecasting report - report 3

The third continuous technology report is the result of the joint effort of the WP9 members and input from the Technology and Science Watch committee appointed by the steering committee in April 2014. This updated report shall direct the interface/discussion with the Research infrastructure centres that may provide the experimental methodologies or technologies utilised by the modelling and data stewardship canters during systems biology experimental design. The comments from reviewers in individual areas of expertise are not themselves recommendations for an exact infrastructure. However these, together with the systems biology community surveys, continue to highlight technologies that will be required both immediately and in the near future. We also provide a fine-grained view from the appointed experts within the Science and Technology watch committee within their relevant fields. Thus the report gives a first global overview of the existing state-of-the-art of molecular systems biology with respect to technology or methodology and possible near future directions.&nbsp
