Abstract

Eleven patients with IgM anti-MAG monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance and neuropathy have been treated with high-dose intravenous immunoglobulins (400 mg/kg/day for five days). Eight patients had a subjective improvement and underwent two more courses. In five cases a clear-cut improvement was noted on ataxia and disability scales. Serum IgM levels and nerve conduction velocities remained unchanged.
