Белорусы: два проекта. О закономерностях развития белорусской культуры

Статья белорусского историка и политолога Юрия Шевцова посвящена весьма спорной теме — формированию национальной идентичности белорусов. Автор выделяет два проекта. Первый из них начал развиваться примерно со времени разделов Речи Посполитой в конце XVIII в. В его рамках белорусы есть ветвь триединого русского народа, территориальная версия русской культуры. Второй проект — белорусы как лингвоцентричная восточноевропейская нация со своим отличным от русского литературным языком, нерусской исторической памятью и идентичностью. В данной статье предлагается взглянуть на описание двух этих мейнстримных проектов.
The article of Belarusian political scientist Yuri Shevtsov is devoted to a very disputable subject — formation of national identity of Belarusians. The author considers two projects: the first, which has begun developing approximately since the division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the end of the 18th century, the main idea of which was that Belarusians was a branch of the triune Russian people, the territorial version of the Russian culture. The second project — Belarusians is a linguo centric Eastern European nation with the literary language, which is different from Russian, has got non-Russian historical memory and identity. It is also offered to look at two mainstream descriptions of the Belarusian nation and to estimate their impact on national consciousness and a nation building in Belarus in this article.
