High precision isotope shift measurement in helium

This paper reports a high precision measurement of the isotope shift for the 23S‐23P transition between 3He and 4He by a laser‐microwave spectroscopy technique. This experiment gives the most precise measurement of the isotope shift for a multielectron atom. The measured isotope shift agrees satisfactorily with the theoretical value.
