Abstract

Decorative patterns are significant parts of people’s living space and important components on the surfaces of the daily necessities used in people’s everyday lives. They came into being and developed along with the human civilization. And they are still playing an active part in today’s social life. With the innovation and development of science and technology, parametric technology has become a valuable solution in art design and greatly influenced the design fields of architecture and landscape architecture. However, the designs of decorative patterns still rely on the old-fashioned manual designs of the designers, which give rise to the common problem of low innovation efficiency. In the new era of intelligent technology, parametric technology makes it possible for the designers of decorative patterns to improve their working efficiency and provide visual innovation. The experiment mentioned in this paper is a significant attempt for that goal.
