Abstract
- The investigation of the gas sensitive properties of an array of nanorods of zinc oxide obtained by hydrothermal synthesis is carried out. Their morphology and crystal structure as well as electrophysical and gas sensitive properties are studied. A thermodynamic analysis of the process of interaction of carbon monoxide (CO) with the surface of the nanorods of zinc oxide is performed based on the experimentally determined activation energy of conductivity and gas sensitivity coefficient. It is shown that the process under study includes an interaction between a CO molecule and a charged adsorption site of the surface of zinc oxide.
