Abstract
- Graves’ ophthalmopathy is currently considered to be caused by autoimmunological processes. Weetman and his colleagues [9, cf. also 1,2, 10] have shown in two patients that this disease can be successfully treated with ciclosporin. We therefore examined the efficacy of this immunosuppressive drug in a group of ten patients with severe Graves’ eye disease, who were treated for six months and have so far been followed up for another six months[5–8].
