Vergeschlechtlichte Aspekte von Racial Profiling

Es gibt nur wenige Studien und wissenschaftliche Arbeiten zum Thema Racial Profiling im deutschsprachigen Raum. Die meisten dieser Arbeiten konzentrieren sich auf das Polizieren von rassifizierten Männlichkeiten. Dies verdeckt die intersektionalen Aspekte polizeilicher Gewalt und lässt die Erfahrungen und Perspektiven von rassifizierten FLINTA Personen unberücksichtigt. Diese Masterarbeit gibt einen Einblick darüber, wie FLINTA Personen in Wien Racial Profiling erleben und analysieren. Dazu habe ich queerfeministische, intersektionale und antirassistische Perspektiven zum Thema rassistische Polizeigewalt herausgearbeitet und anhand dieser die Institution Polizei und die polizeiliche Praxis des Racial Profilings untersucht und kontextualisiert. Um vergeschlechtlichte Aspekte rassistischer Polizeikontrollen in diesem Rahmen zu analysieren, habe ich fünf problemzentrierte Interviews mit Frauen und nicht-binären Personen geführt, die rassistische Polizeigewalt in unterschiedlichem Ausmaß erleben. Anhand meiner theoretischen Auseinandersetzungen und der empirischen Analyse wird deutlich, dass rassistische Polizeikontrollen vergeschlechtlicht wirken und eine intersektionale Analyse der rassistischen Polizeigewalt unerlässlich ist, um das Erleben und die Auswirkungen dieser zu erfassen. Gleichzeitig wird deutlich, dass rassistische Polizeigewalt staatlich und somit strukturell verankert ist und es, um diese aufzulösen, neue gesellschaftliche Strukturen braucht, die - und Herrschaftsverhältnisse überwinden.
There are few studies and academic works on the topic of racial profiling in the German speaking context. Most of them focus on policing racialized masculinities. This disguises the intersectional aspects of police violence and leaves the experiences and perspectives of racialized FLINTAs unaddressed. This master’s thesis provides insights into how FLINTA persons in Vienna experience and analyze racial profiling. Therefore, I have elaborated queerfeminist, intersectional and anti-racist perspectives on the topic of racist police violence. I analyzed and contextualized the institution of the police and racist police controls according to this framework. To analyze gendered aspects of racial profiling controls, I conducted five problem-centered interviews with women and non-binary individuals who experience racialized police violence to varying degrees. Based on my theoretical arguments and empirical analysis, I state that racial profiling controls have a gendered effect and that an intersectional analysis of the police violence is vital to capture the experience and impact of it. At the same time, it becomes clear that racist police violence is state-based and thus structurally anchored, and that in order to dissolve it, new social structures are needed which overcome existing power and domination relations.
