Abstract

In this investigation a unique platform has been developed for observing and evaluating various levels of interaction between humans and large industrial robots, starting from the low level of interaction and ending up with the most sophisticated physical interaction between human and robot. The proposed platform complies with the industrial requirements and represents a similar environment to the production lines. In addition, it respects the ISO standards concerning the human robot interaction (HRI) applications, e.g. ISO 10218-1/2:2011 and ISO/TS 15066.
