Abstract

This chapter deals with toxic gases that act as asphyxiants. These gases produce respiratory distress, leading to asphyxia. The gases may be chemicals, such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, cyanide, ammonia, and may include yellow or red rain and methyl isocyanate.
