Shift in output frequency of a self-oscillating caesium vapour magnetometer

The frequency shift of a self-oscillating caesium vapour magnetometer, caused by misalignment of the light direction with respect to the RF coil axis, has been studied experimentally. The shift varies according to the light intensity and the orientation of the self-oscillator.
