Abstract
- The strain of the COVID-19 pandemic on social and material/work-related resources has resulted in detrimental impacts to perinatal health, raising questions about what child-bearers need to safeguard their own wellbeing and that of subsequent generations likely to suffer ongoing harms. In this study we investigate contributions of each type of resource, as well as various forms of job-related stress associated with the pandemic, to mental health and obstetric outcomes in pregnant people and new parents to better inform paths toward effective public health strategies.
