Abstract: Follicular bronchiolitis (FB) and lymphoid interstitial pneumonia (LIP) are a continuum of benign infiltration of the lungs by polyclonal mature lymphocytes. Rarely idiopathic, LIP and FB may represent an expression of systemic immunologic disorders in the lung and are commonly associated with immunodeficiencies, connective tissue diseases, and other autoimmune conditions. This chapter reviews the clinical, radiologic, and pathologic presentation of both entities in this continuum.
