Abstract
- In this paper, a novel interaction mechanism among multiple LCC-HVDC systems on receiving-end in the form of inverter commutation failure is put forward via an intricate case from a practical power system. The simulation of this case indicates the three commutation failures at the almost same moment, and relevant theoretic analysis has been performed to acquire its mechanism. Then it can be concluded that the inverter commutation failure can beget a great deal of AC voltage dip, and the adjacent LCC inverter can hardly survive this chain-like voltage disturbance by its constant-δ controller. Further, this mechanism is validated by a control group with VSC inverter. Moreover, after the discussion of control group, the technical merits is revealed in terms of impeding the proposed mechanism in this paper.
