Abstract: Esters of ferrocene carbonic acid with aminoalcoholes in the presence of carbonyl donators can exchange their central atom Fe against 99mTc from pertechnetate yielding cytectren-derivatives. Organ distribution of the 99mTc labelled esters showed a high brain uptake.
