Abstract
- Older people have not been able to keep pace with the rapid changes in technology and science. Most educational programs for senior citizens, however, stress the arts and crafts. Model science education programs designed specifically for seniors, with an emphasis on geological science, have been developed at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. These programs have been well received by the older people and can be useful in integrating or mainstreaming seniors into the college classroom.
