Abstract
- Thirty-two 20-Gb/s channels spaced by 100-GHz were transmitted over 400-km of DSF with 80-km repeater spacing. Nonlinear effects in low local dispersion were successfully suppressed by using the 1.58-/spl mu/m band and optimizing the dispersion map and the initial chirp.
