Abstract
- The large magnetic field in modern high energy physics experiments can be used to improve the spatial resolution of large pitch silicon tracking detectors by ensuring charge sharing between neighbouring strips or pixels. For the reconstruction of the passing particle's track, the influence of the magnetic field on the drifting charge carriers must be known. One of the parameters is the Lorentz-angle which describes the change of the drift direction with respect to the electric field.
