Comments on the paper 'an analysis of the relationship between driver injury and vehicle age for automobiles involved in North Carolina accidents during 1966–1970' by G.G. Koch and D.W. Reinfurt

Although the Koch/Reinfurt paper does not find significant increase in injury severity with vehicle age, the conclusion that there is “no important relationship between vehicle age at time of accident and severity” is not justified.
