Abstract

Mammals recovered from gravels lying about 100 ft (30 rn) above the level of the Red Deer River on Highway 41, halfway between Bindloss and Empress, now comprise Mamrnrstiall.~ i~~zi~~r~~toy and Eqrrr~s (Asitl~ts) corlr.rr.si$ens in addition to the lioan-like cat (PLIII~~C~LB afrox) previously recordcci from the site. r\ post-Wisconsin age of greater than 8000 years B.P. is suggcstd for the deposit. h4r;rnmofllcts impcrutor ct Eqrrta.5 (A~inrts) conr~ersidens font partie maintenant des mamrnifPres trouvks clans les graviers qui reposent h 100 pi.
