Abstract

Conducting polymers nanocomposites have been emerged as one of the most enthralling members of a polymer family. Their spectacular resourceful properties make them useful in every field of research in varying arenas such as supercapacitors, sensors, electronic materials, drug release, biosensors, tissue engineering, and stimuli-responsive and biomimetic polymeric materials. The chapter discusses the role of conducting polymers (CPs) with their vast applications as nanocomposites and their profound impact as green nanofillers in corrosion protection paints, coatings as well as inhibitors area. The work would significantly highlight CPs contribution in materials science and engineering as well as their prospects in coming years.
