The effect of complexity and similarity on adult looking time

The overarching goals of this project are to a) create a conceptual analog of infant looking time paradigms for adults; b) in this analog framework, test the model proposed by Hunter & Ames (1988), which posit that infant looking preferences are influenced by stimulus complexity and familiarity; and c) develop and fit the computational model that makes quantitative, trial-wise predictions of processing times.
