General Design Education Practice: History of Design Materials

Based on the universality, democracy and generality of design, this paper constructs the basic framework of general design education based on general education and design education. The general design education is an extension of the field of general education. The role and significance of designing general education are discussed in the paper based on the practice example of history of design material.
