Abstract

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located at the northern border of the motherland and extends from northeast to southwest, taking a long and narrow shape. Now it has jurisdiction over 3 leagues, 9 cities and 101 flags, counties, cities and districts. The east-west line is about 2500 kilometers long and the north-south line width is about 1700 nm. The total land area of the whole region is 1.183 million square kilometers, accounting for 12% of the national land area, ranking third in the country. The per capita land area of the whole region is about 0.05 km2.
