Abstract
- A new class-E power amplifier design approach, in which the design problem is posed as combinatory optimization, is described. To incorporate the frequency dependent components in the optimization procedure, a simplified frequency domain simulation method was proposed to speed up the simulation. A 2.4 GHz 85 mW fully differential class-E CMOS power amplifier with 69% power drain efficiency has been designed in a 0.18 /spl mu/m standard digital CMOS process.
