Гетманщина в представлениях украинской интеллектуальной элиты второй половины ХVІІІ – середины ХІХ в. Часть 2. Новые образы отчизны

Авторы рассматривают эволюцию представлений интеллектуальной элиты Левобережной Украины об особенностях статуса, социально-политического строя этой специфической области Российской империи, о роли разных социальных групп, прежде всего казачества и шляхты, в её истории и трансформациях рубежа ХVІІІ–ХІХ вв. Персоналии, оказавшиеся в центре исследования (Григорий и Василий Полетики, Адриан Чепа, Семен Кочубей, Григорий Галаган), являлись авторитетными выразителями настроений значительной части местной элиты. Хронологическая разбросанность их высказываний позволяет проследить изменения во взглядах на место края в системе империи – от сохранения модернизированной в духе времени автономной Гетманщины до полной её политико-правовой интеграции, на роль гетманов и казацкой системы в жизни малороссийского общества, на возможные механизмы адаптации к новым социокультурным реалиям.
The focus is on the evolution of the ideas of the intellectual elite of the Left Bank Ukraine about the peculiarities of the status, the socio-political structure of their homeland, this specific region of the Russian Empire, about the role of various social groups, primarily the Cossacks and the gentry, in its history and transformations at the turn of the the 18th – mid-19th cс. The personalities who found themselves in the center of the study – G. and V. Poletik, A. Chepa, S. Kochubei, G. Galagan and others, reflected not only their own views on the past, present and future of the region, but were also authoritative exponents of the sentiments of a significant part of the local social elite. The chronological scattering of their statements makes it possible to trace changes in views on the place of the region in the system of the empire - from the preservation of the autonomous Hetmanate modernized in the spirit of the times to its full political and legal integration, to the role of hetmans and the Cossack system in the life of Little Russian society, as well as to possible mechanisms of adaptation to new socio-cultural realities.
