Comparing Paper Versus Digital Registries When Introducing a Web-Based Platform Registration for Social Care Services

The study presented in this article aimed to analyze the shifting process from a typical paper registration to a registration performed by a web-based platform in two different services for older adults of a social care institution. A total of 16,960 registers related to a nursing home and a home care service were analyzed. With the web-based platform, the rate of inconsistencies declined 21.08% for the nursing home and 24.89% for the home care service.
