Abstract

In Fig. 3 on page 1557, the incorrect figure legend was inserted. For the reader’s convenience, the correct figure legend is reproducedbelow.Fig. 3 – Different categories of mutant phenotypes identified following screening of the collection of revertants for perithecial develop-ment on carrotagar (see Experimentalprocedures). Whole Petri dish and close-up pictures were taken 10 days after perithecium induction.Growth conditions for perithecial development were as described in Experimental procedures. (A) Fg820 nia6 strain exhibiting a wild-typephenotype, (B) a mutant developing no perithecia (mutant 234), (C) a mutant developing fewer perithecia than the reference strain (mu-tant 266) and (D) a mutant exhibiting perithecium initials embedded in agar (mutant 191). Bars for close-up pictures: 0.2 mm.
