Fractional restoration of foundry soil in brick manufacturing

Abstract

Bricks are fabricated from catlinite gist and its usage is massive in nowadays. The surplus amount of catlinite usage leads to a massive decrease in soil resource. The worn foundry sand which dumped in the soil it leads to infertility of crops and affects the feature of groundwater. To reduce the environmental influence the worn foundry sand is proxy in brick making. The usage of foundry sand in bricks is 5% to 30%. The 25% of WFS proxy bricks are effective and it has high strength. Based on the test results, bricks identified as Class II.
