Abstract

A case of acute serous pulpitis from which a pure culture of PPLO was isolated is presented, and its possible effect on our present concepts of dental pathology and therapy is discussed. Although no general conclusions are attempted on the basis of one case report, we hope that this report will generate and stimulate further interest in the possible role of filterable forms in dental pathology.
