Abstract
- A low-profile conformal endfire antenna is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna is a traveling wave antenna, which can be integrated on a curved surface. By changing exciting ports, a forward or backward radiation can be realized. The endfire antenna can form array and realize beam scanning. A prototype of the proposed endfire antenna array is fabricated and tested. The measured results are consistent with the full-wave simulation results. Foam is filled in the proposed antenna array to increase the bearing capacity. The height of the antenna is only 0.07 λ 0 , where λ 0 is the wave length of the highest frequency.
