Abstract

1. 1. In the identified neurons Bl, B2 and B3 of the buccal ganglia of Helix pomatia , responses to stimulation of ganglionic nerves have been studied systematically. 2. 2. The responses consisted of early depolarizations and late de- and/or hyperpolarizations which were composed of several elements: electrotonical and chemical depolarizations of short as well as long latencies and hyperpolarizations of long duration. 3. 3. Occurrence and shape of the elements depended upon the type of neuron, the stimulated nerve and the individual preparation.
