Abstract

of any cyst-related malignancy, and 57% did not seek any additional information regarding cyst management. 3) Preference: standard gamble point of indifference for MRI was 20%, EUS 70%, and Surgery 70%. Patient anxiety was not associated with a difference in preference for management strategy. CONCLUSION: In this cross-sectional survey, we identified a major gap in patient knowledge with respect to pancreatic cysts. Patients primarily relied on physician recommendations for management and in general were more willing to pursue non-invasive testing. Greater emphasis should be placed on patient education in order to ensure patients are able to make informed decisions regarding their cyst management. TABLE 1: PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS
