Abstract: 1,4-Diketones bearing an all-carbon quarternary stereocenter are synthesized via asymmetric dearomatizing redox cross-coupling reaction between aryl hydrazines and cyclic ketones in the presence of a SPINOL-derived phosphoric acid as chiral catalyst.
