Abstract

Deregulation of electric power market is now in progress in Japan, and various kinds of power sources are emerging. Then, economical and efficient coordinating operation of existing and new facilities is needed. In this study, two types of new control software have been developed to meet variety of customers' needs. One is called "optimum economical dispatching program", which realizes optimum operation among various power sources, such as gas turbines, fuel cells, energy storage system and utility supply menu. The other is called "load following program", which controls generators to follow the varying loads. Also, the "control and interface unit", which sends and receives control and supervisory data of generators and loads, had been developed as a SCADA system. In this paper, newly developed controlling programs and control and interface unit will be introduced with the test results using the analogue power system simulator.
