Abstract: Small-signal parametric gain at 10.6 pm in GaSe crystal pumped at 2.75 pm is experimentally demonstrated. Simulation predicts that nanosecond optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification in GaSe supports sub-three-cycle pulses.
