Abstract
- Soldier fly (Inopus rubriceps (Macquart) adult flight activity was monitored in a trial designed to study the effect of stocking rate on soldier fly populations. Increasing the stocking rate reduced adult emergence; males were sedentary but females dispersed after laying a proportion of their eggs in the vicinity of their emergence site; and females were most active on plots grazed hard.
