Magnetic properties of Ni–Fe/Au/Co/Au multilayers

Magnetisation reversal and magnetoresistance of sputtered Ni 83 Fe 17 /Au/Co/Au multilayers with Co layer thicknesses 0.2⩽ t Co ⩽1.5 nm were studied. Depending on t Co , the Co layers are superparamagnetic ( t Co t Co t Co ⩾0.6 nm) layer structure and, for t Co ⩽1.2 nm, show perpendicular anisotropy.
