Abstract: 1. Vinyl- and isopropenyl-o-carborane are hydrogenated under the reaction conditions for the hydroformylation and carboxylation of olefins in the presence of cobalt or rhodium carbonyls. 2. A mechanism was proposed for the hydrogenation of olefin-o-carboranes in alcohol solutions under CO pressure.
