Abstract
- A real-time Vander Lugt correlator for the automatic recognition, location and inspection of objects from direct imaging or TV camera input is described. Techniques to cope with changes due to scale and rotation are discussed. These include: (i) Image rotation with dove prisms. (ii) Multiple matched spatial filters by parallel addressing. (iii) Selective spatial filtering. Example results from an inspection task are presented.© (1986) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
