The association between poverty and homicide perpetration from birth to age 30: life-course analyses in a prospective Brazilian Birth Cohort

Pre-analysis plan for investigating three competing life-course models for explaining the relationship between poverty and lethal violence: 1. Does an accumulation of poverty over the life-course increase the risk of violent and/or lethal offending? 2. Does experiencing poverty during a sensitive period in the life-course (e.g., early childhood) increase the risk of violent and/or lethal offending? 3. Does downward social mobility over the life-course increase the risk of violent and/or lethal offending?
