Abstract
- This paper studies the combined problem of container selection and stowage. Each container has information of original and destination ports and the value. A multi-objective programming model is established with the goal of maximizing the value of selected containers and minimizing the number of container rehandle operations during the whole route. In addition, a heuristic algorithm is proposed to solve large-scale instances. The experiments are carried out in JAVA. The results prove the validity of the model and the algorithm.
