espanolEl presente articulo analiza el funcionamiento, los conflictos e irregularidades que afectaron a las Cajas Reales de Arica entre 1653 y 1654. Se busca con ello la identificacion y analisis de los problemas administrativos y financieros que emergieron en la Real Hacienda de la ciudad, como tambien la caracterizacion de las anomalias detectadas por las autoridades limenas. El resultado de la visita de Miguel Ruiz del Valle busco la normalizacion del flujo tributario a la capital virreinal y una mejor gestion financiera de la mencionada caja en el corto y mediano plazo. EnglishAbstract: This article analyzes the conflicts and irregularities affecting the Royal Treasury of Arica between 1653 and 1654. Wanted thereby the identification and analysis of administrative and financialproblems that emerged in the Royal Treasury the city, as well as the characterization of the anomalies detected by the authorities in Lima. The result of the visit of Miguel del Valle Ruiz, seeking norma-lization of tributary inflow to the viceregal capital and improved financial management of that cash in the short and medium term.
