Remarks on Mr Connolly's paper 'New types of levelling instruments using reversible bubbles'

In connexion with Mr Connolly's paper on "New Types of Levelling Instruments with Reversible Levels" it is shown how an accurate test of reversible levels can be carried out in a simple manner. It is also pointed out that levelling instruments with reversible levels have been constructed in Germany since 1875.
