Abstract

The paper presents results of magnetoelastic investigation carried out on Fe 40 Ni 38 Mo 4 B 18 alloy in as quenched and annealed state. Special nonmagnetic backings were used in order to obtain the uniform stresses in the core and enable sample to be winded. The changes of the magnetic characteristics, as a function of the compressive stresses, for both samples are presented. Results confirmed that the thermo-magnetic improvement of the magnetic properties of Fe 40 Ni 38 Mo 4 B 18 amorphous alloy induces significant changes of its magnetoelastic characteristics.
