Abstract
- Pitavastatin inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl coenzyme A reductase and lowers blood cholesterol levels [1]. Although pitavastatin may occasionally cause adverse events (such as abdominal pain), no reports of cutaneous drug eruption have been reported in the English literature. Herein, we report the first case of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) caused by pitavastatin.
