Model for surface diffusion in AgBr

The theory of ionic surface space−charge layers is used to interpret tracer diffusion data on thin epitaxial films of AgBr. This leads to the conclusion that the interstitialcy mechanism is the dominant mode of ionic transport in the space−charge region.
